The rope is classified as a double dynamic rope - so it is necessary to connect both strands of the rope at the same time. So why bother with two ropes? This is due to greater safety - in the mountains, there is often a risk of damage to the rope due to a falling rock or a sharp edge. In such a case, it is better to have a rescue rope. However, the Master 7 rope is also a frequent choice for ventures in which climbing is not primarily expected: glacier crossing, freeriding, ski mountaineering, via ferratas. Experienced adventurers like to carry a rope with them in their backpack for unexpected situations when a section of the route needs to be secured or used for rappelling.
The Tendon Master 7 mm rope comes with Complete Shield treatment. This highest possible degree of protection of the rope contributes significantly to its durability and preservation of good properties in adverse weather conditions. A special water-repellent Teflon Eco polymer layer is applied to the braid using nanotechnology, which seals the structure braid fibers in a waterproof manner. Keeping the rope dry is desirable in all circumstances. A wet rope is less strong and more difficult to handle. If such a rope freezes, it may be completely unusable: it cannot be tied or placed in a belay or rappel. With Complete Shield, not only do water molecules not penetrate the rope, but also dust particles, which are constantly exposed to the rope due to contact with the rock and which, if they penetrate through the braid into the core, disturb the fibers.
The last 15 mm of the rope is finis thanks to the Compact technology: the braid and the core are combined into a single unit.
