Designed in collaboration with Glen Plake, the new Ripstick 106 Black Edition breaks the myth of wide skis designed solely for soft snow. QuadRod technology changes the game. A ski that's solid on hard snow can also be light and playful, without sacrificing power and stability.
The evolution of the Ripstick Black Edition collection surpasses the norm in the off-piste category. Starting with the famous TubeLite Woodcore: in addition to the two carbon rods running the length of the ski, two new, similar rods are placed in the center of the core in the tip and tail. This carbon-boosted core provides optimum stability and flex distribution. Next, the efficiency of the Amphibio profile is enhanced with Carbon Line technology: a carbon weave placed along the inside edge of the tip and tail provides a soft snow feel combined with excellent grip. An additional layer of carbon under the bindings optimizes support transmission and stability without compromising the ski's natural flex. This unprecedented combination of carbon makes the ski both high-performance and intuitive. Finally, this masterpiece is dressed in an elegant, stealthy black envelope. A new benchmark is set with this light, powerful ski that's just as at home in powder as it is on rough terrain. Its versatility, efficiency and maneuverability will surprise many!
