With a HAGANE aluminum body, it's a robust reel that doesn't mess around. The HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP combination is further enhanced with InfinityDrive to provide plenty of fluidity and power. And it features X-Protect (IPX8) water protection, which prevents water from reaching important parts. However, the brake doesn't have quite the same fluidity as its more expensive big brothers, and there are a few fewer ball bearings placed around the construction. That said, for all the smaller, less rapide fish, the Spheros SW is an excellent choice, backed by Shimano's reputation for high quality.
