Tri-functional suit Huub Pinnacle

Pinnacle is a strong word, denoting the ultimate, the best and a level that cannot be surpassed. To associate it with a combination is bold, but this combination represents a balance between the needs of many athletes and offers a complete solution to the modern triathlete's challenges to "swim faster".

We have a saying here at HUUB - "if you always do what you've done, then you'll always get what you've got!"

This saying inspires us to seek improvements and benefits from those around triathlon and open-water swimming: the scientists, the elites, the age-group racers and the enthusiasts. We'll never say we know it all, but we can say that we're constantly striving to learn more and evolve our equipment and our sport. This desire led us to consult one of the sport's great names, Andy Potts, known for his swimming prowess. Just because Andy is one of the sport's greatest swimmers, it wasn't certain that he would be able to bring the necessary wisdom to the evolution of our products. But fortunately, in this case, he did! The passion and knowledge of our founder and owner, combined with Andy's heritage and attention to detail, have resulted in a wetsuit that holds many secrets and will allow you to swim the way you've always wanted to!

Andy is both a coach and a great athlete. His ability to observe, watch and above all listen to his athletes has helped shape this incredible new wetsuit. Designed with swimming efficiency in mind, while offering additional core controls (an area usually ignored by triathletes in swimming), this suit is a significant set of improvements that translate into what really matters.... SPEED!

The Pinnacle wetsuit is designed to offer advantages to most swimmers. By this we mean swimmers who suffer from heavy legs, streamers, extension problems and those whose core strength isn't the best. It's a combination that corrects more flaws than any other - but don't tell your swim coach!

Flexibility:

Flexibility is essential for a good wetsuit. Rotational Freedom™ and the No Suit™ feel set us apart from traditional wetsuits. We also focus on lining materials, their warp and weft, directional alignment and ability to dry quickly and maintain moisture absorption at a minimum.

We research and analyze each type of neoprene from the world's best suppliers to ensure the perfect match between fabric, composite and neoprene. This combination provides flexibility where it's important, and a secure fit to reduce seepage and "neoprene bulge".

After years of experimentation, the Pinnacle suit is the ultimate combination of Yamamoto's Types 39 and 40 located in key panels to maximize stroke range and efficiency, augmented by the combination of our patent-pending Arms Neutral™ stroke fatigue reduction technology.

Core Control™ & Stability:

Stability is an essential element of a good swimming position. By providing stability, the Pinnacle combination helps reduce vibration fatigue. Our technology and design take advantage of every paddle stroke to help you propel forward and transfer energy from core stabilization to forward motion. All this contributes to a more efficient grip, keeps you in a straight, tight swimming position and ultimately makes you more rapide while using less energy.

Exclusive buoyancy profile HUUB:

We were the first to address the issue of sinking legs and truly analyze the triathlon swimming skill set. We saw whatautres hadn't... That 85% of triathletes come from non-swimming backgrounds, which called for a fresh look. We saw wetsuits made with the same thickness of neoprene for the chest and lower body - there was no help for raising the legs, lowering the chest and improving hydrodynamics and efficiency. The 3:5 buoyancy profile is the only one for swimmers who don't have a natural high leg position. Countless hours of testing on our exclusive Active Drag Measurement (A.D.M.) system help us understand what's really going on in the water. We don't just rely on athletes' comments and estimates... We do more research than anyone else! HUUB invented the 3:5 profile and continues to push the boundaries of buoyancy research.

+43 Foam™ :

Many years ago, we moved beyond neoprene for key buoyancy panels when we introduced our premier composite material, NBR. Eight years later, the Pinnacle wetsuit uses a composite material that is 43% more buoyant than traditional neoprene, taking lift levels to a new place (it actually offers a virtual 2:8 buoyancy profile). The +43 Foam™ is exclusive to HUUB and guarantees higher hips and thighs for more efficient swimming and more rapide.

The highest level:

We collaborate on all our wetsuits, whether with Paul Newsome, Andy Potts, women's focus groups, able-bodied athletes and para-athletes. We ensure that our suits are designed with people and goals in mind.

TRIATHLETE MAGAZINE PRODUCT REVIEW

The HUUB Pinnacle is one of the most interesting combinations our testers have ever used. With moderate flexibility and buoyancy, the real strength of this top-of-the-range wetsuit lies in its totally new trunk support system, which uses horizontal bands in the abdomen lining and large inflexible neoprene bands running from the top of the hips to below the knees. The result is one of the most structured suits we've ever tried, especially for those who tend to "snake" their torso and legs when swimming. Within minutes of using the Pinnacle, testers found that their body position improved considerably and their speed increased without any additional work or exercise. For those who don't have a problem with their body position, a softer or more buoyant wetsuit at this price point may be more useful to them, but if you struggle to keep your midline taut, there's nothing better, and even 850 is money well spent.

The best triathlon suit for :

Swimmers who "snake" from one side of the water to the other.
