Our alpine pack on the go, tested everywhere from the Canadian Rockies to the Fitz Roy massif, the Black Diamond Speed is designed for lightweight performance on rock, snow, and ice objectives around the world. With an updated BD X-rip 210d fabric featuring a UTS™ coating, the new Speed is built to withstand the rigours of the mountains year after year. The pack is also fully stripped down with a removable waist belt, a lid, and a frame sheet to minimise your setup. We’ve also improved comfort with an updated back panel that wicks moisture and redesigned dual-density foam shoulder straps for better load distribution while keeping it streamlined on the way. The PickPockets™ for ice tools now have a new custom metal ice tool attachment, enhancing the security of your ice tools, plus snag-free crampon straps and a stowable rope strap secure gear on the outside. The main loops on the hood are now mounted on the surface and accommodate gloves, while the skirt with closure cord offers easy access while preventing snow and light precipitation from getting in.
