The TX224 has taken a new approach to triathlon shoe functionality without sacrificing comfort and adjustability for quick entry/exit. Our unique design allows for a superior fit and familiarity with a closure system that runners will appreciate. The new quick-pull lacing system is fast and easy to secure, wrapping the extended mesh upper around the foot and maximizing airflow to keep your feet cool and ahead of the game.

Our Lake carbon fibre sole, combined with the secure toe box, provides a comfortable and secure fit, maximizing stability, power transfer, and performance. With a sleek yet substantial rubber bumper, the front of the shoe is also protected for the long term. The TX224 is the perfect combination of technically advanced upper materials, a secure closure system, and an ultralight, stiff carbon sole.

Shape
CX/TX RACE Last - Featuring a slightly narrower toe box and a tighter heel, with a firmer grip than the Lake Competition last, and less overall volume than our Sport last. Designed for very high cadence pedalling, with a performance fit that is sleek and finer.

Outsole
The Lake Race outsole is 100% carbon fibre with replaceable heel studs to maximize performance while keeping the shoe as lightweight as possible. Available with a 3-hole cleat pattern.

Lining
The TX224 features a Clarino microfibre upper with a breathable, moisture-wicking NuFoam™ shell and an antimicrobial Trek-Dry lining, as well as an elastic rubber support mounted on the side of the heel for quick transitions. The unique design of NuFoam works to keep your foot cool and dry.

The innermost layer of the NuFoam package is an absorbent antimicrobial Trek-Dry fabric made from carbonized bamboo. The Trek-Dry pulls moisture away from the foot to the surface of the shoe. The middle layer of the NuFoam package is a 2mm closed-cell perforated foam that acts as a spacer to allow air to circulate within the shoe, creating evaporation and maximising comfort. This process works as a cooling system, with moisture evaporation helping to refresh the foot while keeping it dry as you approach the next transition.

Closure
Using a single hook and loop strap with quick laces, the TX224 features a rapid cord lacing system, which is fast and easy to secure, and wraps the foot snugly in race mode with the added benefit of the Velcro strap. It offers the athlete a micro-adjustable fit, as well as maximum impact protection and increased durability. It can be easily adjusted before the event, allowing the shoe to slide on easily and be secured quickly.
