- HIGH PRESSURE CARBON HPC High Pressure Carbon Shimano is a process that creates stronger, more reactive blanks
- Pressure is applied to the surface of the blank during curing (heating) which evenly distributes the resin throughout the carbon fiber matrix.
- The result is a much stronger, more consistent performance and better reactivity.
- XT CARBON XT Carbon is used in the entire range of Shimano rods.
- The number following the XT (XTI 00), indicates the quality of the carbon fiber used.
- The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. When different types of carbon are combined to create the required action, both numbers will be displayed (XT60/40).
- NANO Carbon Shimano NANO is a technology used to make rod blanks that are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank.
- The core of a NANO cane blank is made of a NANO carbon sheet.
- This sheet has a special weave that allows for a small amount of resin to be used that spreads in very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.
