The light and airy hiking backpack has an ergonomic design that offers plenty of space - perfect for multi-day hikes in warm regions. The weight is evenly distributed and the backpack provides a pressure point-free fit. The soft neck construction also takes the pressure off the neck. This is especially comfortable on long tours with heavy luggage.
We have perfected our ACS carrying system for the CROSSTRAIL range: the rear-ventilated Air Control System is a real success story from JACK WOLFSKIN. Since 1991, it has stood for maximum ventilation and is by far a classic in terms of wearing comfort and climate. The Airmesh coarse mesh material is durable and guarantees a super comfortable fit and optimal ventilation. Thanks to the sufficient distance between the back and the bag, moisture is better wicked away and your back stays dry.
By the way: this hiking backpack is doubly good: for you and for the environment. To dye the Airmesh material, we used our innovative FUTURE DYE technology. It doesn't require water - that saves 10 liters of water per backpack. And the inner lining is made of recycled polyester.
With the CROSSTRAIL you have everything you need at hand - for example your water bottle. Simply place it in the fold-out bottle holder on the hip belt and access it with a single movement. The additional U-shaped access to the main compartment on the front of the backpack makes it particularly convenient.
Thanks to the numerous storage options - including mesh pockets on the front and sides - and the attachment loops for your trekking poles, you can really pack everything you need for your tour. Small items fit in the inside flap pocket. And because it's important to drink a lot, especially when hiking in hot regions, we've equipped the CROSSTRAIL with a hydration system as well.
