Description
The goal of the GEL-CUMULUS™ 23 shoe is to provide an even smoother, more fluid stride while implementing tailored technology in both the men's and women's models. Continuing our inspiration from cumulus, we redesigned the upper and midsole structure of this neutral running shoe with a more holistic design approach that accommodates the anatomy of the runner in motion.
Wrapping the foot in an even softer feel, the integrated mesh upper adds strategic support in targeted areas while allowing some fibers to open up for improved breathability.
The upper follows the movement of the midsole more closely, creating a smoother stride from cushioning to impact.
To improve cushioning and flexibility, we added a 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION structure to the upper layer of the midsole.
This technology is implemented through a series of strategically placed components in the midsole that allow runners to experience more compression in a specific area without reducing durability or stability.
These component formations are designed differently in men's and women's models to address the biomechanics of each gender. By helping runners compress the foam appropriately when cushioning the stride, this shoe promotes a smoother stride and improves shock absorption.
Softer GEL™ technology cushioning is placed under the heel to improve cushioning while the FLYTEFOAM™ midsole material helps create a smoother, more supported stride.
With a durable component in the outsole, the ASICS LITE Rubber is soft and designed to improve durability in high impact areas.
